Our Mission
Why We Exist
Friends of Roseville Parks (FOR Parks) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization . We work hard to make sure the beautiful, natural spaces in our community are loved and enjoyed for generations to come. FOR Parks was established in 1969 by a group of Roseville residents who recognized the vital role parks play in community health and well-being. Today, FOR Parks continues its mission by partnering with the City of Roseville Parks and Recreation Department to identify needs and raise funds for improvements in parks throughout the city.
Since 1969, FOR Parks has funded playground renovations, nature center enhancements and park beautification projects. Friends, members, fundraising event participants, volunteers and donors have invested more than $1.7 million. Investments include: • Park Amenities, $1.2M • Harriet Alexander Nature Center Improvements, $265,500 • Community Building Upgrades, $72,500 • Park Enhancements, $116,500
